Congratulations to the New AASSA Board
Board elections were held at December’s annual Business Meeting of the Association in Atlanta. Michael Martell was re-elected for three years and Madeleine Heide was elected to an initial three-year term.
Officers were then elected by the Board, resulting in the following Board structure for the period from December 2014 – December 2015:
Barry Dequanne, President
Gregory Hedger, Vice President
Bill Pearson, Treasurer
Michael Martell, Secretary
Catarina Song Chen
Madeleine Heide
I would like to recognize Susan Williams who left the Board in December after offering the maximum allowed six years of continuous service for her dedication to AASSA and the work of the Board. Susan has served a total of eight years on the Board and been instrumental in providing continuity and leadership through a period of constant change.
I would like to publicly thank the Board for their leadership, support and the essential role they continue to play in the continued growth and development of AASSA.
