The Association of American Schools in South America is excited to welcome Shorelight Education as its newest member. Shorelight Education is a U.S.-based education company that partners with leading nonprofit universities to increase access and drive success for international students, boost institutional growth, and enhance an institution’s global footprint. Its purpose is to Educate the World – a call to action that defines its people and its point of view.

Shorelight is committed to inspiring change that creates more opportunities for students and cross-cultural exchange, ultimately leading to better, healthier, more peaceful, respectful, compassionate and sustainable communities.

“We are thrilled to join AASSA because we strongly support their mission of providing critical programs and services to schools across South America while enhancing the quality of international education in the Americas,” said Shorelight Education CEO Tom Dretler. “Through our innovative partnerships with top universities, Shorelight invests in the success of international students from across the globe to provide them with a transformative university experience.  We look forward to working with the AASSA in the days ahead, and exploring the many opportunities to partner and collaborate with its members.”

Shorelight Education’s growing impact in the United States and across the globe comes at a time of increased demand from international students seeking an American college experience and while academic institutions are striving for more globally diverse campus environments. According to the Institute of International Education, a record setting 886,052 foreign students came to the United States to study in the 2013-2014 school year.

Shorelight currently has partnerships with top universities from across the U.S., including Auburn University, Florida International University, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Kansas.
