On behalf of AMISA, welcome to a new year of learning! Whether returning to our region for another exciting year, or joining us for the very first time, know that we are a community and organization committed to supporting educators and leaders on their journeys of personal and professional growth. There's no better place to call home!
This year, we are encouraged to be able to provide an incredible variety of events and experiences tailored to help learners reach their goals. From engaging workshops and networking events, to hand-on experiences, our goal is to provide opportunities that will help equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape.
Here’s just a taste of what’s in store from AMISA Professional Learning this year!
Earn a Badge.
AMISA is diving into the world of digital badges to help learners elevate their professional profiles and highlight accomplishments and commitments towards professional growth. This year, we are offering two unique professional learning digital badge opportunities:
Each opportunity provides learners with an in-depth learning experience, support, and networking. Don't miss out on the digital badge opportunities this year!
Join a Session.
Whether it's exploring one of our many workshops or trainings, engaging in a continuous learning initiative like the Women in Leadership community or the Counselor Consultation and Wellness Circles, or signing up for one of our digital badges, we invite you to join a session and learn with colleagues from the region. AMISA and our partners work hard to be responsive to the needs of our member schools in providing relevant learning opportunities that support personal and professional growth. New opportunities will be added throughout the year, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back frequently!
Experience a Conference.
We are proud to offer three major conferences this year that focus on building the learning capacities of governing bodies, school leaders, and teachers.
Our Governance Conference will be held on September 16-18, in Miami for school governance leaders around maximizing impact within our school communities through engaging in meaningful practices.
Elevated Leadership, this year’s Leadership Conference, will be held in Buenos Aires and is designed to provide a three-day experience of learning and networking around leadership development for operational and academic leaders. We are proud to partner with our member school, Asociación Escuelas Lincoln - Lincoln School, in Argentina to provide a unique and unforgettable conference experience.
Get ready to become a Bridgebuilder on the campus of our member school, the International School of Panama, in Panama City, Panama for our 2025 Educators’ Conference, Bridgebuilders-Connecting what Matters. This three-day experience will focus on supporting educators to construct bridges that connect various aspects of education and our ever-changing world. The Call for Proposals is now open, so be sure to submit a proposal to present a workshop before the October deadline!
Build a Network.
Sign up for one of our high-impact, 60-minute Power Hour networking sessions exclusively for AMISA operational and academic school leaders. This is a great opportunity to share and collaborate with others in our region who share similar interests and responsibilities. Can't make a Power Hour event? Sign up to join one of our AMISA Connect Google Groups to keep the networking channels open and active throughout the year!
Stay Connected.
Educators from AMISA Member Schools can visit our website and create a user login to have exclusive access to resources, networking opportunities, session recordings and more! Also, make sure to join our mailing list (found at the bottom of each page on the website) to stay informed about the latest news and events from AMISA.
We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning! Cheers to the new year!
