AMISA EDUCATORS' CONFERENCE 2027
Empowering Pathfinders

Join us at the American School of Guatemala for the 2027 Educators' Conference. AMISA educators, partners, and outside consultants may submit a workshop proposal to present a the conference.

In this age of unprecedented challenges, the call to action for pathfinders is more critical than ever. Pathfinders are the educators who transform uncertainty into opportunity. They challenge convention, inspire curiosity, and create new possibilities for learning. In a rapidly changing world, we are called not simply to adapt, but to lead—empowering learners, strengthening communities, and shaping a future that is more innovative, inclusive, and hopeful than the one we inherited.

Proposal titles and descriptions should focus on addressing the following areas:
  • Designing future-ready learning for all learners

  • Inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning

  • Innovative instructional practices and design thinking

  • Collaborative teaching models (co-teaching, team-based planning)

  • EdTech integration that enhances deep learning

  • Equitable access to high-quality learning

  • Critical thinking, creativity, and student agency

  • Global citizenship and cross-cultural learning

  • Social-emotional learning (SEL) across age levels

SPECIAL TRACKS

We also invite proposals for the following special tracks that will run during the conference:

  • Counselors - Social Emotional Learning and Wellness

  • Counselors - College and Career Readiness

  • Athletic Directors
