GIN Keynote: John D. Liu: The Great Work of our Time

John D. Liu is an American who has lived in China for more than 30 years. Mr Liu helped to open the CBS News bureau in Beijing at the time of normalization of relations between the U.S. and China. He worked for CBS News for 10 years leaving in 1990. He also worked as a photojournalist for Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI Italian Television) and Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF German Television).

John Liu challenged GIN participants in his keynote: The Great Work of Our Time. He spoke about the necessity of a mindshift:

1. We are on this earth to leave it a better place

2. We have to reverse what humans have done to the ecosystem

3. Yes! YOU can do something (don’t just talk, but do)

4. Happiness does not come from owning stuff
