Our plans for this year include expanding services, primarily:
promoting our new Consultant Search Service which provides schools the opportunity to inexpensively utilize master teachers within the region as professional development consultants
Offering the first Learning2 conference in the Americas at Colegio Menor in Quito from October 13-15 2016
Assisting schools in sourcing best-practice documents
Offering more school based institutes (17 have been scheduled to date!)
Promoting the latest child protection efforts
Promoting online videos of all AASSA schools
Expanding AASSA’s listserves to include Instructional Coaches, Human Resources Staff and ELL Coordinators
Offering a uniquely collaborative Educators’ conference in Rio in March 2016 with two pre-conference sessions (Aspiring Leaders facilitated by Barry Dequanne and a Retreat for Instructional Coaches).
Partnering with ISS for AASSA’s and ISS’s Recruiting Fairs in Atlanta
Promoting the AASSA Recruiting Service to U.S. universities and through WIDA
