IMPORTANT HOTEL RESERVATION NOTE:

AMISA does not utilize the services of a housing vendor or third party booking agent for any events. Please be aware that occasionally unauthorized third parties not affiliated with AMISA may attempt to coordinate hotel reservations by phone or email. Please use only the official AMISA Hotel Conference links posted on the AMISA Conference pages to make your arrangements directly with the hotel and not through a third party.  To receive the exclusive benefits of the AMISA Conference rate, you must book your reservation using the direct link provided.  Reservations made through third-party sites or other methods may not include all hotel benefits and negatively impact AMISA's ability to contract discounted group rates so please only book through the AMISA booking link provided.

IMPORTANT VAT TAX INFORMATION:

In accordance with Chilean VAT Law, hotel accommodation services provided to foreign passengers who are not resident in Chile are exempt from Value Added Tax (VAT), provided that payment is made in U.S. dollars and the hotel issues an Export Invoice (Factura de Exportación) in compliance with the requirements of the Chilean Internal Revenue Service.

To qualify for this VAT exemption, guests must present a valid foreign passport and the corresponding immigration document at check-in, evidencing non-resident status. Should the required documentation not be provided, or if payment is made in Chilean pesos, Chilean VAT at the applicable rate will be charged and added to the total invoice.
