Students develop vocabulary by the words that surround them, but they also need direct instruction to build academic vocabulary for literacy and learning success. In this badge, LitLife will explore how to choose powerful words for vocabulary instruction, how to teach the meaning of new vocabulary in a fun, engaging way, and how you can make sure that vocabulary takes root in our students reading, writing, and speaking. Words are powerful - let’s make them stick.
