This October, academic and operational leaders from across the Americas will gather in Cartagena, Colombia for the 2025 AMISA Leadership Conference – Navigating Leadership: From Harbors and Horizons. More than a conference, LeadCon25 is an invitation to embark on a journey of reflection and discovery. Together, we’ll pause in the harbors of leadership—those safe spaces of resilience, strategy, and grounding—before venturing toward the horizons, the uncharted waters of innovation, change, and growth that define the future of education.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Cartagena’s historic shores in collaboration with Colegio Jorge Washington, the conference will provide a unique environment for leaders to connect and reflect with one

another. Learning Badges

Level-up your learning with one of our AMISA Learning Badges. From learning focused around supporting neurodiverse students, MTSS, leadership development, AI, child safeguarding, and empowering student leaders, there is something for everyone. Take advantage of an opportunity to earn a micro-credential and deepen your knowledge as an educator.

Networking Opportunities

Networking has never been easier through our virtual job-alike sessions and our AMISA Connect Groups. Join one of our virtual job-alike events that take place each semester and meet up with colleagues from the region for an hour of resource sharing and connection.

Our AMISA Connect Group networking opportunities have expanded this year with the inclusion of groups for classroom teachers, in addition to the groups for academic and operational leaders. These opportunities are exclusive to AMISA Member Schools. Request to join a Connect Group today!

Symposia Events

AMISA will host four symposia events this year that showcase the amazing work from schools within our region. The symposia will focus on the themes of Student Support, Assessment, AI, and Celebrating International Women's Day. AMISA Member Schools can attend these events for FREE and non-members may register for a nominal fee.

Educators' Conference

The 2026 AMISA Educators' Conference will be held at the Escola Americana Do Rio de Janeiro this April in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Join us for this three-day event as we focus on Connecting Minds and Cultivating Kindness. Interested in presenting at the conference? Our call for proposals is now open and will close November 7th.
