About the Event
This informative one-hour session explores the evolving landscape of literacy research and its impact on international schools. We will navigate both accumulated knowledge and emerging areas, guided by converging evidence, while also addressing the prevalence of misinformation in the field, which can inadvertently steer our decision-making off course. This program also promotes the idea of a “literacy system” and emphasizes a systemic approach to engaging in literacy work in order to foster continuous learning and improvement as well as to support positive learning outcomes for all students. In line with this approach, we will discuss how conducting comprehensive audits enables schools to assess, understand, and enhance the functionality and efficacy of their unique literacy systems. Join us in navigating the complexities and nuances of literacy education and discover insights that will enrich your school’s literacy learning.
