The Supporting Learning Differences in Primary Students Badge is a three-part workshop series that provides primary educators with strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.

Module 1: Identifying and Understanding Learning Differences

• Differentiate between common learning challenges such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.

• Gain insight into the ways young learners with SLDs present (primary school).

• Understand how learning differences impact academic and social development.

Module 2: Differentiation Strategies for Literacy, Numeracy, and Executive Functioning

• Gain a deeper understanding of differentiation principles and the benefits of their application in diverse classroom settings.

• Discover age-appropriate differentiation techniques, including tiered assignments and flexible grouping, and specific differentiations strategies for literacy and numeracy.

• Learn how to incorporate multi-sensory approaches to enhance learning experiences.

Module 3: Individualized Learning Plans and Data-Driven Instruction

• Develop and implement individualized learning plans for accommodating and supporting students with different needs in an inclusive classroom.

• Track student progress using data-driven approaches.

• Work collaboratively with specialists and families to ensure consistent support.

• Identify key types of assistive technology for students with learning challenges.
