About The Badge
Unlock your leadership potential with the Strengths-Based Leadership Badge with Dr. Brian Perkins from Colombia University's Teachers College. This dynamic learning experience is designed for educational leaders who are ready to lead with authenticity, clarity, and impact. Through a blend of strengths-based reflection, strategic communication tools, and the proven Leadership Challenge framework, participants will deepen self-awareness, enhance collaboration, and turn vision into action. Rooted in real-world school contexts, each session offers practical strategies to energize teams, foster inclusive dialogue, and drive sustainable transformation in your community.
Session 1: Leading with Your Strengths in Mind
Tap into your unique talents with StrengthsFinder to ignite creativity and resilience in your school. Through Latin American case examples and reflective exercises, you’ll learn to align personal themes with institutional priorities, energize your staff, and chart a strengths-based roadmap for lasting impact.
Session 2: Effective Communication for School Success
Building on self-awareness, this session uses interactive dialogues and design exercises to equip you to craft respectful communication strategies, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen collaboration across diverse Central and South American school communities.
The Leadership Challenge
Drawing on Kouzes & Posner’s Five Practices, you’ll examine real-world scenarios from regional independent schools to translate proven behaviors into action.
